This has been my first exposure to this software and apparently nobody else here has any idea how or why the old system works. I am having some difficulties loading connection files and gathering setup data from the old Procomm 3.0 to either recreate or import directly into the attempted fix version Procomm 4.7. I will have the users test a transfer and report my findings. and it appears to open the Procomm Plus Terminal window as expected. I was able to run through the user setup, including the Serial Number etc. OK, I copied the 4.7 installer disc files into a folder on the root of C:\ and was able to run the PW4.exe application contained in the "PROGRAMS" folder from there without using Compatibility Mode. When I've attempted to run the Installers or the individual programs from the copied folder using various Compatibility Mode settings (most often, Windows 98 or XP, both "Run as Administrator") and click "Start the program." nothing happens, as in no errors, nothing. I have also tried copying the Procomm 3.0 files directly from the XP installation folder (C:\PROWIN3) on the current laptop to the same location on the new Win 7 64-bit PC, but running the files from there results in the same error. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or 圆4 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

"The version of this software is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. When I have attempted to use either the Procomm 3.0, or 4.7 installer I receive the following error from Windows:
